How uMaster Works
uMaster is a 1:1 personalized mentorship program for high school and university students passionate about Biology, Medicine, and AI/ML in life sciences. We offer two programs.
Beginner Program
12 Weeks
Build a real research project from scratch with your dedicated mentor. The foundation for original work, structured revision, and a defensible final project.
Advanced Program
10-12 Months · Academic or Innovator Track
For students ready to go further. Take an existing research foundation into manuscript publication or translational startup application.
uMaster Outcomes
uMaster scholars work on original real-world research projects that they design from scratch.
Students in our program go on to:
The distinct value of structured research mentorship.
uMaster program is a structured framework built around 1:1 guidance, original research projects, scientific thinking, and academic growth.
1:1 Mentorship
Every scholar works directly with an experienced biomedical scientist.
Original, Student-Owned Research
Students work on research projects with active involvement in project development, scientific reasoning, and decision-making throughout the process.
Peer-Reviewed Framework
Our model is published in the Journal of Online Education by Henry Stewart Publications, accredited as a peer-reviewed research mentorship framework.
Life Sciences Focus
We work exclusively across biology, medicine, biotechnology, and AI in healthcare.
Global Recognition
Scholars publish in top student journals, present at ISEF and global symposiums, and secure admissions to top universities and research programs worldwide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Life sciences: cell biology, genetics, cancer biology, neuroscience, bioinformatics, AI in medicine, disease biology, and related biomedical domains.
Students aged 13 to 25 with a genuine interest in biology, medicine, and life sciences who are ready to work consistently and engage with feedback.
For our Beginner Program, students typically commit 5 to 7 hours per week: one live mentor session plus pursuing research work independently.
That is completely fine. Many students begin with curiosity and limited prior exposure.
